Ning Deng, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the Beijing International Studies University, School of Tourism Management. He is also dean of the department of tourism ecommerce and marketing, and the excutive director of the research center for tourism bigdata in BISU. His research interests is destination marketing, with the focus on data mining of User-Generated Content (UGC) and information technology applications in tourism. Ning’s research findings have appeared on several top-tier tourism journals. Before joining BISU, Ning earned his Ph.D. of computer science from Beijing Institute of Technology, and joined Lenovo as a staff researcher for two years.
Teaching:
Bechelor: Python programming basics, Internet product desgin, Internet product operations.
Master: Data mining for tourism research.
Research Projects:
The construction and estimation of a quantitative projective model. for travel image in new media context. National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC)(71502005), 2016-2018.
Oversea‘s image prevision projection of Beijing Winter Olympics based on UGC bigdata. Funded by Philosophy and Social Science Foundation of Beijing. (17JDGLB006), 2017-2018.
Beijing oversea’s image projectoin model based on UGC photos. Funded by Beijing Municipal Education Commission (SQKM201710031001), 2017-2018.
Zhongyu—an attraction tourists’ experience evaluation platform based on OTA online reviews.
