葉峰，1963年出生，2000年畢業(yè)于美國(guó)普林斯頓大學(xué)（Princeton University）哲學(xué)系，獲哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位，博士學(xué)位論文為Strict Finitism and Philosophy of Mathematics。1986年至1994年在北京大學(xué)哲學(xué)系邏輯教研室任助教、講師，2004年回國(guó)在北京大學(xué)哲學(xué)系邏輯教研室任副教授，2010年轉(zhuǎn)為教授。2013年調(diào)動(dòng)至首都師范大學(xué)政法學(xué)院哲學(xué)系任教授至今。主要從事數(shù)學(xué)哲學(xué)、現(xiàn)代邏輯學(xué)和分析哲學(xué)的教學(xué)和研究。提出了一種國(guó)際上新的，以物理主義世界觀為基礎(chǔ)的，嚴(yán)格有窮主義的數(shù)學(xué)哲學(xué)。近年致力于圍繞物理主義世界觀的研究，涉及心靈哲學(xué)、語言哲學(xué)及物理學(xué)哲學(xué)。開設(shè)有多門研究生專業(yè)課程。

著有Strict Finitism and the Logic of Mathematical Applications (Synthese Library, vol. 355, Springer, 2011.7)，《二十世紀(jì)數(shù)學(xué)哲學(xué)——一個(gè)自然主義者的評(píng)述》（北京大學(xué)出版社，2010.7）。論文曾發(fā)表于Journal of Symbolic Logic, Philosophia Mathematica, Synthese, International Studies in the Philosophy of Science, International Journal for Philosophy of Religion, Frontiers of Philosophy in China, 《哲學(xué)研究》、《自然辯證法通訊》、《世界哲學(xué)》等國(guó)際和國(guó)內(nèi)重要學(xué)術(shù)期刊。一篇論文曾被收錄于The Best Writing on Mathematics 2011, M. Pitici (ed.)，Princeton University Press, 2011, pp. 286-311.
